GIANT BOAB TREE, UP CLOSE
The image captures a stunning Boab tree standing tall and proud in a remote location on Highway 1 between Kununurra and Timber Creek. The tree is enormous, with a massive trunk and gnarly branches stretching out in all directions.
I’ve taken the approach, pointing the camera upwards to capture the texture of the Boab tree's bark. The bark is richly textured and appears almost three-dimensional, with ridges and furrows that invite the viewer to reach out and touch the tree.
