HOMESTEAD FALLS, LAKE ARGYLE
This image captures Homestead Falls, located near Lake Argyle, as a powerful force of nature. I love this waterfall because you can actually walk in behind it.
The long exposure creates a dreamy effect as the water cascades down and over the red Kimberley Earth. The waterfall's small contribution to topping up the massive man-made Lake Argyle that then feeds the Ord Irrigation Scheme to the north. It is a reminder of the delicate balance between nature and human intervention in this remote corner of the world.
